Things to do/Places to see

The Fôret de Tronçais is just 7 km away, a wonderful place for walking – for example the round-the-lake walk from the village of Tronçais. Or drive to Lake Pirot near Isle et Bardais.

 

At the stables at Gincais in Theneuille you can go horse-riding. There are also stables at the Hotel in Ygrande.

Villages worth visiting, and within very easy distances, include the medieval village of Hérisson; Ainay Le Vieil with its Chateau and gardens; the pretty market town of Bourbon L’Archambault with its fortress; and Souvigny with its priory.

 

A little further away are Moulins with its Stage Costume Museum and Maison Mantin; and Vichy with its opera house and famous waters. Those interested in gardens will enjoy the Prieuré d’Orsan.

 

Children will love a day trip to La Pal or Vulcania. There's also an atelier d'art in the village; and we have a studio you can use.
